Humans were idiots. It may just be her superiority instinct kicking in, but she was almost absolutely sure that this was true. Humans were odd and interesting in a way at first, like in the way they could possibly enjoy tossing a ball around like newborn kits and call it a sport.----A LITTLE SECRET----
She wished she was able to participate and have fun with them.
She couldn't possible do such though. It would be simply demeaning (or at least as she dictated), and she would become the laughing stock of the community. Besides that, even if she were to lose all of her sanity, an animal being able to play would draw significant attention to her, if these humans choose to be troublesome and go and draw media attention to her.
----IF POSSIBLE WOULD THIS GROUP TRADE HER FREEDOM FOR RICHES?----
Yes.Yes they would.
Yes.Yes they would.
The white ball crashed unevenly in the soft stand beside her. Amber eyes picked up on it. She could have picked it up. Tear it to itty-bitty pieces that would scatter across the eggshell white sand. The people would scream and fret. There would be anger. There would be frustration. And relief from one patron who wished for the game to have ended long ago. She would run away, far, far away. But she didn't.
Wisely (as always, Merliana chose the wisest option. never foolish, never stupid) she walked away. The reluctance showed in the way she dragged her paws in the sand, the way her eyes weren't as crisp, her snail-slow speed. Her teeth clenched in effort. To stop from looking back. God knows what happened last time she glanced back, looking to see lost chances.
----WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME----
Mother had stood there.
Saying nothing.
Nothing needed to be said.
For the guilt and despair to come back.
For her to realize what she missed.
She kept walking. She would keep walking until she reached a small patch of woods and hour later, fate allowing. It wouldn't be in her best interests to stop any where, she knew. But fate had an odd way of restraining Merliana from what she wanted.
ooc|hmm. i'm trying out a new writing style for her; not quite sure how well it works.[/blockquote][/size]
